There is a growing requirement of saving money on energy used in homes in Uganda and worldwide. Significant savings can not easily be made by the mere analysis of meter readings given by the YAKA meters existing in most homes on the grid.

The integration of these meters with a “smarter” auditing device that gives real-time analysis of power usage by each appliance in the home or a factory is instrumental in making users understand which appliances are contributing to power-bill bottlenecks.

With the app, the user can then obtain detailed analysis about individual-device consumptions, over-flows, power-wasters, leakages, faulty loads, among others. The user can also set alerts for certain power consumption.
